In 2020, Kimberly-Clark launched new global 2030 Ambitions, which will see us improve 1 billion lives whilst halving our environmental footprint. Since then, in ANZ, we have positively impacted over 8 million lives and developed long-term partnerships with some of the most impactful organisations in our region, focused on important issues such as pre- and post-natal care, adult incontinence and period poverty. We’re also focused on implementing our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan, which details our commitment to progressing reconciliation in Australia.
We're working to reduce our environmental footprint, too. Globally we’re working towards cutting direct emissions (Scope 1 and 2) by 50%, against our 2015 baseline. In 2023, we reduced over 300 tonnes of new, fossil fuel based plastic from our packaging and products and we achieved zero waste at our Millicent Mill.
These are just a few examples of how we’re showing care for people and the planet; more detail on these and other initiatives can be found in our 2023 Sustainability Snapshot. We know there’s a lot more to be done, and we look forward to sharing further updates as we progress.
